Road Closures on Monday, 8/18 and Tuesday, 8/19:
Starting Tuesday, August 19th at 5:00 AM Kebler will close from mile marker 9 – 25. That is basically from the winter trailhead on the west side of the Pass to Irwin Forks. At 11:00 AM Kebler will close to all traffic between Crested Butte and McClure Pass, until the race passes through.
Elk Avenue will be closed on Monday, 8/18 from approximately 3 PM – 9 PM between 2nd and 4th 3rd Streets (the 200 Block). Elk Avenue will close again on Tuesday, 8/19 from approximately 6:00 AM through 4:00 PM.
Expect closures and detours in Crested Butte and Mt. Crested Butte on race day, 8/19. Gothic Road will be closed between the town of Crested Butte and Mount Crested Butte from approximately 2:30 to 4:30 PM on Tuesday, 8/19.
Everyone is encouraged to ride their bike up the rec path or take the free Mountain Express bus from town up to the mountain to eliminate as much road traffic as possible. There will be a bike valet located near the finish line for everyone who rides their bike. Parking is extremely limited and should be avoided.
